Welcome to my art gallery! Here you will find ALL of my wildlife and fantasy artwork posted on one long page. If you would like to break the viewing into separate pages, you may do so using the category links below.
I work with acrylic paints on stretched canvas or canvas board, watercolors, digital media – primarily Photoshop, and sometimes mixed media. My paintings are inspired by nature – mainly animals – and fantasy based themes, such as fables, myths and gaming. I have prints and gifts available of all my designs, and some original pieces are still available for purchase.
All of my silhouettes are hand drawn and filled in with black ink. I then scan the image, and smooth out any lines or imperfections in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. From there I use Photoshop to add color or special effects.
Some non-silhouette based graphic design work is created using copyright free stock images and photo manipulation.
Custom Kid Art was a separate art business from Ferine Fire, but now it is under the umbrella of Ferine Fire. I retained the original look of the Custom Kid Art site to let visitors know that this service is still available.
Custom Kid Art takes children’s drawings and renders them into professional pieces of art. Please enjoy the extraordinary imagination of these awesome kids. If you are interested in this service, please send an email.
Ya Otter RelaxThis piece was originally done for a contest for Perrier spring water for their new labels. I like to joke with people and say "You have no idea how hard it was to get him to pose for me like that!" Prints available Gifts available

ChronomancyThis 24x26 acrylic painting features a "time-wizard" known as a Chronomancer. In his open palm, there is a 3D printed brass gear. The gear will corrode over time, thus showing a literal embodiment of "chronomancy". The process can begin all over again by polishing the gear. I chose to do a 3D print of the gear because I believe 3D printing is the future. Prints available Original available Gifts available 3D printed gear by MBDdesign
Makin' the RoundsThis kitty is quite at home in her Rainforest. Constantly on the prowl in search of...what? Food? A Mate? Only the forest knows what goes on in that savage mind. Prints available Gifts available
The Fox and the CheeseThe Fox and the Cheese is based on an Aesop's Fable, The Fox and the Raven. A crow has a piece of cheese in her beak when a hungry fox passes by. He asks for a bite of the cheese, but the crow refuses. Then, slyly, he asks if she could sing for him instead because he tells her what a beautiful sing voice she has. Flattered, the crow croaks out a note, dropping the cheese. The fox snatches it up and runs off with it. Moral: Flattery will get you everywhere. In this painting, I upgraded the cheese to a gem and anthropomorphasized the fox. Prints available Gifts available
The Second ComingThis painting is based on an Egyptian myth. The original myth goes that a lioness-headed goddess, Sekhmet, was sent by Ra to punish mankind for their sins. Sekhmet enjoyed this task a little too much and would have destroyed the world if not for Ra's clever intervention. He transformed all the blood that she spilled into wine. When she went to consume the blood, she got drunk and fell asleep, just short of total destruction. Prints available Original available Gifts available
The AssassinMy inspiration came from some of the artwork I've always enjoyed from the Dungeons and Dragons painted illustrations. All the other aspects of the picture are from my imagination. Prints available Gifts available

Dragon with yin yang symbol - Spirit
Snake (Cobra) - Speed
Leopard (Chinese Leopard) - Stealth
Crane - Grace

The Chinese lettering in the top left hand corner roughly translates as "The Five Animals". Prints available Gifts available
